A linear polarizer differs from a circular polarizer in that it does not include an additional quarter-wave plane. The quarter-wave plane in circular polarizers is designed to circularly polarize light, enabling the use of autofocus and exposure functions. With a linear polarizer, these functions may be compromised due to the breakdown of light and filtering process. This filter is suitable when autofocus and in-camera exposure metering are not in use.

Non-Coated: Provides approximately 40% average light transmission.
Minimizes Reflections and Glare: Ideal for reducing reflections and glare in various lighting conditions.
Reduces Haze and Blue Cast in Landscapes: Enhances outdoor scenes, making landscapes clearer and more vibrant.
Enhances Color and Tonal Saturation: Increases the richness and depth of colors in images.
Material: Made with Tiffen's ColorCore technology, which laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, providing superior durability.
Precision: Filter is ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
Glass Type: ColorCore Water White Glass.
Recommended Use:
Ideal for situations where autofocus and exposure metering are not required, particularly in landscape photography or other applications where control over reflections and color saturation is critical.
